Ella's Gift: A Country Fair

Well, our dream of remembering and honoring our daughter with all our friends and family came to a reality on August 28th, 2011. It started as an idea of mine and that led to a bigger idea of a friends and before you knew it we were planning the fundraiser of the year!  I am so proud of the way everything turned out.  It was a perfect day (minus the 20 minutes of sprinkles):

The whole day was so fun and we were so honored to be able to dedicate a day to our love, Ella Bea.  Our biggest fear is that people will forget her.  We want her life, no matter how short it was, to have meaning.  We were so fortunate in our journey to have had Faith's Lodge and NILMDTS be a part of our healing.  It means the world to us that we are able to give back to these organizations in memory of our daughter.  This year we were able to raise over $10,000 for Faith's Lodge and $6,000 for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.  Amazing for a 1st event!

We had so much help, we want to thank everyone who took part in our special day.  A big thank you goes out to our friends Jeff and Jenni Taffe.  Jenni spent many many hours being the brains behind the event and helping to pull it all together.  Our parents (Mom, thanks for all the creativity and woodworking :) and all our friends who volunteered their time and helped gathered sponsorships and silent auction donations.  We are so grateful for all your help!


Ella: You were with us for only 9 months, but in our hearts you will live forever.
